Rigid box: Definition, Margins & Structure

Use a rigid box when the client can financially support the production and when it aligns with their marketing goals. Rigid boxes are made from thick boards with a printed sheet, often glossy, laminated or glued onto the surface. They are considered high-quality and luxurious, which can be effective in marketing, attracting customers, and increasing sales.

Here's a breakdown of the four stages involved in producing rigid boxes:

  • Cutting the pieces: The cardboard or wood is cut into the right shapes.
  • Building the box: The pieces are put together to form the basic box structure.
  • Adding the design: A beautiful printed paper is glued or laminated onto the box.
  • Finishing up: Any final details, like extra coatings or decorations, are added.

Because the material (wood or cardboard) is thick, your design elements (like text or images) should be at least 3mm away from the edge that will be cut. This ensures that the design isn't accidentally cut off during production.

"When you talk about Rigid box, think of a world of charm and luxury product sales."
